Supported by the efficient and dedicated secretarial services of .the Chamber, EICMA together with nine other regional associations and their apex body - the Federation of Corrugated Box Manufacturers of India (FCBM) has been effectively focusing on various problems of the corrugators in appropriate forum and Government bodies. In 1995, the association with a matching grant from FCBM has set up an R&D laboratory at Kolkata. The association also had the honour of hosting FCBM Annual Conference first in 1973 and then 1980, 1987 and 1995.
 
In the context of the changing economic scenario, the activities of EICMA are also being re-oriented. It is now giving more attention to the need for effective partnership between the Government and the corrugated packaging industry. Wedded to the cause of the Indian corrugated packaging industry, EICMA thus, continues to forge ahead.
